I chose it because of the reviews and the companies reputation in the battery area.

I've been running them for quite a while now and never had a dead battery when I went to start the machine. They don't boil the water out of a battery unless the battery has a bad cell and never reaches charge voltage.

I leave them connected for months at a time on some of the machines.davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608589214882334649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922503085503427986.post-91647082262955243852016-07-07T06:26:38.133-07:002016-07-07T06:26:38.133-07:00Which float charger did you end up going with? I salvaged many of the parts, put out rat poison in the corners and used the parts in other projects.

Since then I found a float charger that works really well and put it in service to keep the batteries charged. I still have a couple of XBees running to check the voltage remotely, but I don't look at them to often.

The experience I got building up the charger helped in several other projects also, so all in all, it was a good experience.davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608589214882334649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922503085503427986.post-51220229742057262822016-01-01T11:54:00.913-07:002016-01-01T11:54:00.913-07:00hi

So, I clipped a 1K across the leads, turned the pot to get the voltage I wanted and the took the resistor off. davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608589214882334649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922503085503427986.post-74093388341741391182013-10-19T08:03:41.702-07:002013-10-19T08:03:41.702-07:00Thanks for the information on building a charger. ...Thanks for the information on building a charger. When you said, "To calibrate it, I put a 1K resistor across the output, set it for 13.4 volts and then took the resistor off. ", did you mean to replace the 1K resistor
with one of the value determined by the 1K? Thanks againAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01504846119251974096noreply@blogger.com
